Displacement Field Calculation of Large-Scale Structures Using Computer Vision with Physical Constraints: An Experimental Study

In recent years, computer vision-based structural displacement acquisition technique has received wide attention and research due to the advantages of easy deployment, low-cost, non-contact. However, field large-scale structures is a challenging topic as result contradiction camera field-of-view resolution. This paper presents calculation framework with integrated vision physical constraints using only one camera. First, full-field image structure obtained by processing multi-view stitching technique; second, meshed node displacements are calculated an improved template matching method; finally, non-node described shape functions considering constraints. The developed was validated scaled bridge model evaluated proposed evaluation index for accuracy. can provide effective way obtain fields efficiently cost-effectively.
